This month is the Shoreditch Sisters Annual General Meeting where we will be holding in house committee elections as well as re-electing the roles of president, secretary and treasurer. If you would like to put yourself up for committee then please e-mail email@example.com to notify your interest.
In order to be involved in voting this month you must have paid your 2010 subscription fees, so please bring along the sum of £29.50 cash or cheque on the night and we can sign you up. Becoming a member entitles you to free meetings as well as invitations to join the other sub groups including our fortnightly sewing circle, campaigns committee and our knitting club that is to be launched in January, as well as other group outings and activities.
ROLL UP ROLL UP IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME!
Sunday December 13th will be the Shoreditch Sisters WI Christmas fete and fundraiser! So to get you into the festive spirit we will have hot apple spiced cider, mulled wine and homemade mince pies as we take this opportunity to discuss and plan the event as well as sign up volunteers to help on the day. We will need extra hands in baking for both our WI produce stall and the Viva Cake tea room as well as anyone who would like to run a handi-craft station or get involved with general planning and helping out. We really will need all hands on deck to make sure it's a success in order to raise as much funds as possible to ensure we have an amazing programme of events for 2010!

Many Thanks to Ellie Levinson (pictured) who came down to give us a reading from her new book, 'A Noughties Girl's Guide to Feminism' - which provided us with a very interesting and thought provoking perspective on modern feminism today, as conversations carried on well into the night and on to the bus ride home.
Also many thanks to Amanda at Pop and Pixi Beauty, as well as Charlotte from Fish in Soho who both provided the vintage hair and make-up tutorials - all pictures of evening can be viewed on facebook now!
